Partial Collection Outage from Pastebin

Dear Customer,

Content collection from Pastebin has been degraded since March 27. From that date until yesterday, we have only been receiving a small subset of our usually comprehensive harvesting of public pastes on Pastebin. We have been able to recover a majority of the documents missed, but some (such as those deleted before we collected them) will unfortunately be unobtainable.

The issue only impacted collection of content from Pastebin. Other sources and other services, including availability of alerts and access to Recorded Future via the web application and API, are unaffected by this issue.

Please note that while content recovered is immediately visible in the web application, alert notifications will not trigger on this backfilled content. Today, the Intelligence Services team will review the past several weeks of Pastebin documents manually and contact your teams if we discover anything that could potentially impact your organization. The team is also directly available to work with you in delivering Pastebin content from the timeframe in question so that you can independently review.

We have updated our source monitoring to mitigate the risk of similar collection gaps in the future, and apologize for the disruption. Please contact our support team at support@recordedfuture.com if you have questions or concerns.
